Get a head start on your degree with
summer classes

Welcome, admitted ASU students!

Congratulations on your admission to ASU. It’s time to get a head start on your ASU experience. If you're beginning your ASU journey as a new first-year or new transfer student in the fall you can accelerate your degree by taking summer classes. And, nearly all classes are offered through immersive, digital classes taught remotely.

Step one
Begin ASU's New Student Experience

For first-year students only, your next step is to begin orientation, ASU’s New Student Experience, accessed online in My ASU, if you haven't already. You will prepare to take classes and can schedule your academic advising appointment where you can plan summer courses.

Step two
Meet with your advisor

Contact your academic advisor to make sure the summer class(es) you choose work with your fall semester schedule. Your advisor is listed on My ASU. First-year students will also connect with an advisor during the Academic Advising & Course Planning session.

Step 3
Review the academic calendar

Get ready for summer and fall classes by knowing the dates and deadlines. There are three summer sessions that begin at two different times. Sessions A and C begin on Monday, May 17. Session B starts on Wednesday, June 30. Search classes online anytime.
